Will PicoSure® laser tattoo removal work on sensitive or darker skin?
Laser tattoo removal procedures expose your body and skin to pulses of light. Your exposure to this light should be harmless. However, we find that patients are cautious to proceed with the procedure when they have particularly sensitive skin.
For this reason, we encourage patients to do their own research prior to seeking treatment. There is no better way for a patient to feel confident of the procedure and knowledgeable of the outcome, than for them to ask the right questions and get the right answers.
If you have darker skin, laser tattoo removal may affect the amount of melanin in the area of your skin that is being treated.

How many sessions would I need to fully remove my tattoo?
The number of sessions is dependent on the location of the tattoo on your body, the age of the tattoo, the size of the tattoo, as well as other variables. Generally, between 3-10 sessions would be needed, resulting in a much higher level of success than previous technologies.
This is much less than older laser tattoo removal technologies where the sessions could be as many as 20 or more with incomplete results.

In most cases, the time between sessions is 6-8 weeks.
